Don’t forget to set your clocks BACK one hour before going to bed Saturday night. Forgetting to do so might cause some confusion on Sunday morning.

The next Men’s TWC is scheduled for Saturday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m. at Tom Lott’s home. TWCs are events for men who attend Cornerstone (and their friends) to enjoy time together discussing theology. Bring your favorite beverage and munchies if you are able. Contact Tom for more information.
This is Cornerstone’s 12th year to host our Feeding B4 Feasting food drive. The purpose of Feeding B4 Feasting is to provide Thanksgiving meals for the hungry before we enjoy our own feasts. We will accept donations starting October 21 through November 11. Our goal is to put together 16 boxed Thanksgiving meals for the customers of Katy Christian Ministries. Please consider helping in the following ways:
- Sign up to bring menu items by visiting: Feeding B4 Feasting 2018
- You may leave your donations in the red barrel in the Carol Kutzer’s office.
- In lieu of providing food (particularly perishables like turkeys, pies, breads, etc) consider donating a gift card from Kroger ($25)
- Write a letter to the family who will receive the meal.
- Include a favorite recipe with all the ingredients with a special note as to why it’s a family tradition.
- Pray for the families receiving the meals.
The CSCK families will spend the morning of November 11th decorating boxes and writing letters and prayers to the KCM customers.

Ladies, do you like chocolate? How about a fire on a cool autumn evening? If you answered “yes” to either of those questions please join us for “S’mores and More” on the church patio Thursday evening, November 1 at 6:30. We will provide s’mores fixings and coffee! You bring a shareable snack and a beverage if you would like something other than coffee.
This will be our first “official” women’s fellowship for this year. Why do we have “official” fellowships? The simplest answer is that life is busy and most of us find it hard to slow down and take time to get to know other women. It’s hard enough to even have a conversation with your close friends much less someone you don’t know well. We hope this is that opportunity to get to know other women in the church. After all we are sisters for all eternity!
Another reason is that “The God of heaven and earth is a personal God who enters into an intimate relationship with us. Our relationships with each other are to mirror God’s relationship with us.”As we know each other better our prayer would be that we as women would collectively bring a “deeper sense of community and compassion to our church family.” (Susan Hunt in The Legacy of Biblical Womanhood).
Women need fellowship. One thing I do know is that I need help with this. It does not come naturally to me! Come on November 1 and let’s get to know one another better. Let’s eat chocolate and chat by the fire. Let’s “help a sister out”!
From, Doniece Russell
