Thursday Mornings Begin September 14: Cornerstone women and guests are invited to study the Apostle Paul’s letter to Titus this fall beginning Thursday, September 14. Please join us for an in-depth look at this important, three-chapter book. The following summary is from the study website:
“This 9-lesson study covers the natural relationship between sound doctrine and sound living. What we believe inevitably surfaces in how we conduct ourselves. We will learn the foundational truths of the Christian faith, truths that instruct, motivate, and transform men and women within the home, the church, and society.”
Each week will begin with a time of fellowship (and snacks!) at 9:15 a.m. We will then discuss the lesson and questions and end with a time of prayer. We are usually finished by 11:30 a.m. Childcare is available for preschool aged children and infants. We also have a room available for home-schooled children to work on their studies. If you have questions about the study or childcare, please talk to Beverly Tucker or Evelyn Saugier.
Thursday Evenings Continue: The Thursday evening group continues to work their way through “Let’s Study Philippians” by Sinclair Ferguson. They begin at 7:00 p.m. with fellowship and prayer time. The study ends at 9:00 p.m. Childcare is available. Please contact Lauren Pechacek for more information.
As we prepare to start another school and ministry year, the women of Cornerstone will come together on Friday, August 11, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary to pray for our church, our families, our members, and our missions. This special event will be our Women’s Central Perk for August, and we hope that all the women of Cornerstone will be part of it—even if you do not usually attend WCP.
This will be a time of both group and private prayer as we lift up all the things on our hearts—growth for our church, protection for our members and children, and spiritual growth for all of us.
Please plan to join your sisters in Christ for this special evening as we rely on God’s promise, “Call to me and I will answer you,….”
