Ladies of Cornerstone, please join us for a baby shower for Amanda, Matt, and Reagan Vaksdal. We’ll open gifts, have some cake, and spend some time praying for them. We’ll meet at the Lotts’ house on November 18 starting at 3:00, ending at 4:30. For more information please contact Linda Lott.
Ladies, do you like chocolate? How about a fire on a cool autumn evening? If you answered “yes” to either of those questions please join us for “S’mores and More” on the church patio Thursday evening, November 1 at 6:30. We will provide s’mores fixings and coffee! You bring a shareable snack and a beverage if you would like something other than coffee.
This will be our first “official” women’s fellowship for this year. Why do we have “official” fellowships? The simplest answer is that life is busy and most of us find it hard to slow down and take time to get to know other women. It’s hard enough to even have a conversation with your close friends much less someone you don’t know well. We hope this is that opportunity to get to know other women in the church. After all we are sisters for all eternity!
Another reason is that “The God of heaven and earth is a personal God who enters into an intimate relationship with us. Our relationships with each other are to mirror God’s relationship with us.”As we know each other better our prayer would be that we as women would collectively bring a “deeper sense of community and compassion to our church family.” (Susan Hunt in The Legacy of Biblical Womanhood).
Women need fellowship. One thing I do know is that I need help with this. It does not come naturally to me! Come on November 1 and let’s get to know one another better. Let’s eat chocolate and chat by the fire. Let’s “help a sister out”!
From, Doniece Russell
As our women’s mentoring ministry gets ready to kick off this fall, there will be an Informational Coffee at Lauren Torregano’s on Sunday, October 14, at 3:00 p.m. Some changes are in the air, and we would love to share H2H’s “new look” with you. All Cornerstone women and visitors are invited! Attending the coffee does not obligate you to participate, so we hope you will come to learn more.
All Cornerstone women and guests are invited to join us on Thursday mornings for an in-depth Bible study and time of fellowship and prayer. We will begin a 10-week lesson on Hospitality on Thursday, September 20 from 9:15–11:30AM in the Sanctuary. Childcare is available for pre-school age children. Please contact Beverly Tucker email@example.com if you have questions.
Our Christmas trees have come down, the decorations are put away and New Year resolutions are under way. If one of those is to attend Bible study, you’re in luck! The new study will begin Thursday, January 18th at 9:15 a.m.
We will be reading the book, Adorned: Living Out the Beauty of the Gospel Together, by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. It is a perfect continuation of last semester’s study of Titus since this book focuses on Titus 2. From the product description: “The Titus 2 model of older women living out the gospel alongside younger women is vital for us all to thrive. It is mutually strengthening, glorifies God, and makes His truth believable to our world”.
You will be expected to read one chapter of the book each week and come prepared to discuss it with a group. There are some discussion questions at the end of each chapter. Our time together will be enhanced the more each woman comes prepared to share.
If you would like to purchase a book Beverly Tucker will have some available this Sunday before and after church. The cost is $12.68 each. You may also purchase the book on your own from Amazon or the retailer of your choice.
Ladies, bring a friend, your favorite Christmas cookies to share and let’s meet up at the Saugier home at 7:00 p.m. this Friday, December 1. Or just come and sample. (If you bring cookies to exchange, you can take home as many as you bring). While we enjoy the sweets, Rhonda Sanger will share a brief holiday devotional. Contact Evelyn for more information and to RSVP. Open to all Cornerstone attenders.

Ladies, join us for coffee and conversation this Friday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. on the Cornerstone campus. We will either meet in the Den or on the Patio. Feel free to bring a friend and/or something yummy to share – or just show up so we can enjoy your company!
Thursday Mornings Begin September 14: Cornerstone women and guests are invited to study the Apostle Paul’s letter to Titus this fall beginning Thursday, September 14. Please join us for an in-depth look at this important, three-chapter book. The following summary is from the study website:
“This 9-lesson study covers the natural relationship between sound doctrine and sound living. What we believe inevitably surfaces in how we conduct ourselves. We will learn the foundational truths of the Christian faith, truths that instruct, motivate, and transform men and women within the home, the church, and society.”
Each week will begin with a time of fellowship (and snacks!) at 9:15 a.m. We will then discuss the lesson and questions and end with a time of prayer. We are usually finished by 11:30 a.m. Childcare is available for preschool aged children and infants. We also have a room available for home-schooled children to work on their studies. If you have questions about the study or childcare, please talk to Beverly Tucker or Evelyn Saugier.
Thursday Evenings Continue: The Thursday evening group continues to work their way through “Let’s Study Philippians” by Sinclair Ferguson. They begin at 7:00 p.m. with fellowship and prayer time. The study ends at 9:00 p.m. Childcare is available. Please contact Lauren Pechacek for more information.
