It is time to register for the first Saturday Mission scheduled for June 19.  We plan to assist an organization called ARTreach (www.artreachonline.org). ARTreach seeks “to bring art-related programs and services to the underprivileged and the underserved, including children at risk, troubled youth, children and adults with special needs, victims of crime, and the elderly.

We hope to partner more with them in the future in a long-term way, as their mission (like ours) is to reach and serve the helpless and harassed in our community (particularly families, spiritual orphans, and the elderly) but on Saturday, June 19, we are going to serve our community by serving ARTreach. They have tons of supplies that they need moved from one venue to another and they need our help. They are a small organization with little manpower, and we could certainly be a blessing to them and our community by providing the manpower—so that they can focus their efforts and money towards reaching the hurting through their use of art related projects.

In order to prepare for our first Saturday Mission, we would like for you to come to a brief meeting at the church building on Friday night,  June  18 (time to be announced). After this brief meeting we will enjoy fellowship and watch a movie together on the church lawn.  Please invite friends as you are thinking in terms of Project 9.36 and finding ways to connect with your neighbors!

So let’s join together and do this as our Saturday Missions kick off this summer.  The other two dates for these local missions opportunities are July 17 and August 21, so please make note of those dates in your calendars.
