Letters to Soldiers

by Carol on August 4, 2010

During the Parent’s Days Out this summer, our kids made letters and cards for our our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and a hospital in Kuwait.  These letters will be sent via an organization called Letters to Soldiers.

If you are interested, there are two ways you can send letters.  You can visit their website at www.letterstosoldiers.org and click on the Send A Letter link to send an email to a soldier. Or you can  send a handwritten note.  You may also enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope if you would like to hear back from them.  While there is no guarantee that they will write back, you never know.  Handwritten letters should be dropped off at the church office no later than August 15.

let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.Galatians 6:9–10
