Our first event scheduled for our CityEyes ministry is Saturday, September 24. We will join forces with CompassionKaty for their ServeFest 2011. Specific information and registration details can be found on their website: CompassionKaty.org. They are asking for volunteers with basic carpentry, plumbing and basic handyman skills to help repair the homes of a group of low income elderly in the Katy area. The schedule will be:
- 8:30 – 9:00AM check in
- 9:00AM – dispatch to homes and begin projects
- 12:00PM – lunch of hot dogs, chips
- 3:00 PM – shut down sites, clean up and go home
To help them offset some of the costs and they would appreciate help with the following.
- hot dogs (2 cases from Sam’s)
- hot dog buns
- large igloo of pink lemonade
- large igloo of water
- chips – prepackaged – enough for 100
- cookies – from Sam’s
- plates, cups, napkins

Another date to save is the Church Work Day scheduled for Saturday, October 1 from 7:00 a.m. to noon. Come early for donuts and coffee then stick around as we beautify the campus, indoors and out in preparation for our upcoming 30th anniversary celebrations (October 22/23).
