Thanksgiving Worship Service

by Carol on November 1, 2011

In light of the past 30 years of God’s faithfulness to Cornerstone and what He is doing this year through Fanning the Flame, let’s spend time Wednesday evening, November 23, in worship, giving thanks.  We will have a special Thanksgiving service from 7:00-8:00 p.m.  It will be a family-oriented time in which we will share testimonials of thanksgiving from Cornerstone family and friends.  In anticipation of this, I want to challenge each of you to spend some time each day this month and consider:  “What has God done for me, my family, my church?  What am I thankful for?” and as God brings things to mind write them down. Write them on 3×5 cards, in a prayer journal, or whatever note taking method you prefer.  And when Wednesday the 23rd rolls around, bring your list and take a moment in worship to give thanks specifically.

Thanks!

Pastor Carter

let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.Galatians 6:9–10
