ServeFest Update

A note from the ServeFest September 29, 2012 Project Manager Randy Carter….

Are you getting excited about volunteering for ServeFest September 29th?  I know I am.  This is a quick note from Randy, the project lead for this year’s fall event and what I am excited about is seeing how God’s people are coming together to help those in our community who are in need of some simple physical assistance.  Here is an overview of what we are looking at for this ServeFest.

We currently have 3 homes that need several handy man repair projects, nothing huge but lots of little things that will help these friends of ours.  We also will be working in the garden of Katy Christian Ministries which will be an excellent opportunity to bring the whole family out and serve the community together.

We have just agreed on our final project benefiting Hip Hop Hope.  Hip Hop Hope is a nonprofit just beginning in Brookshire to serve at risk youth through  music, relationships and the Good News.  We have exciting painting and simple landscaping scheduled.

Sign-in Saturday morning will be at 8:30am at Katy Christian Ministries 5011 E 5th Street.  Lunch will be provided.

Please register ASAP here Compassion Katy ServeFest
