Decorating for Christmas
The year has flown by and the holiday season is quickly approaching. Per our Cornerstone tradition, we would like to have our church beautifully decorated for our worship service on the Sunday following Thanksgiving, which is also the first Sunday of Advent this year. We will get together Friday, November 28 at 9:30 am and childcare will be provided. We need as many people as possible to assist in getting all of the Christmas decorations up. If enough people help out it should only take several hours to decorate. Even if you can only come for a part of the time that would be great. This is a great family service opportunity! Men, we have not left you out of the festivities! There are many manly jobs that include lifting and moving large/heavy boxes and trees that need muscle to put together. Basically, any person who is willing and able to help will be put to good work!
We will also have a potluck brunch. If you have anything yummy around the house, or feel like making something, that would be great. If cooking immediately after Thanksgiving makes you feel like you want to run away and hide, just come and eat everyone else’s treats. If we are still going by lunch time, pizza will be provided.
I hope you have a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving and look forward to seeing you the Friday after. Please contact Lauren Torregano at email@example.com with any questions and to let her know if you can help.
