EPC’s Hurricane Ida Relief
You can help with Hurricane Ida relief for our EPC churches in Louisiana and Mississippi. You can give money online to the EPC Emergency Relief Fund at Donate: Emergency Relief | EPC Or, you can give directly to Hurricane Ida relief through the website of First Baton Rouge here: First Presbyterian Baton Rouge (fpcbr.org)
If you wish to donate supplies, please see Gene Cover for a list of needed items. Ten of our Presbytery’s churches have gathered an initial load of emergency supplies and equipment and will be transporting it to New Covenant church in Mandeville, but that’s only the beginning. In the weeks (and months) to come, many more supplies will be needed. You can take items to First Baton Rouge (if you’re on the north or west side of the Presbytery) or New Covenant Mandeville (if you’re coming from the east – but please call the church office first to let them know when you’ll be arriving (985-626-4375).
Once power is restored, work teams will be welcome to help with debris removal. First Thibodaux will soon be able to host work teams but will first need an experienced plumber to help them get their showers up and running. If you can help with this immediate need, contact Kory Duncan at firstname.lastname@example.org. Kory will also serve as the contact person for work teams, so if you have a group that wants to come and help right away, talk with Kory before you show up.
