Awaken West Houston Information
You may have participated in Awaken West Houston 2022 earlier this year. Over 4,500 believers prayed for over 80,000 households by name within the KISD lines. Only God knows the eternal impact of those prayers.
Plans are coming together nicely for Awaken West Houston 2023.
WHAT is Awaken? Awaken is a city-wide movement of prayer and fasting focused on unifying the church to strategically pray for and bless the city, one person at a time.
WHEN is Awaken? 30 Days: Monday, January 30 – Tuesday, February 28, 2023
WHERE is Awaken? This month-long journey of prayer and fasting will take place wherever you are located day-in and day-out. This is not about a big event; rather it is about mobilizing the church to pray for and bless our city in all of the places we live, work, study, and play each day.
WHO is Awaken for? Awaken is for any believer (students and adults) willing to identify people in their life that are far from God and earnestly pray for them, fasting as God leads, for 30 straight days: January 30 – February 28, 2023.
HOW MUCH will we be asking of you? Identify eight (8) people/households in your life here in Katy/West Houston who you believe to be far from God. If needed, sign up for a free account at blesseveryhome.com to identify additional neighbors to round out your list.
Note: This is different from last year when we gave each participant 17 households they didn’t know to pray and fast for. This year, you’ll identify people you do know or live close by to pray and fast for.
Commit to pray every day for the 30 days, fasting as the Lord leads you, for the people/households on your list.

On Saturday evening, February 25, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., go on a Prayer Walk in your neighborhood, asking God’s richest blessing on the men, women, and children represented in each home. Imagine thousands of believers across Katy/West Houston doing this at the same time in their neighborhoods! Note: Your list of eight (8) may be made up of two people you work with, a friend across town, three buddies at the gym, and two neighbors. But, during this Prayer Walk you’ll be praying specifically for the people in your neighborhood.
Pastors across Katy and I have been working on resources to help you throughout Awaken West Houston. We’ll get those to you in mid-January as we look to start fasting, praying, loving, and sharing on January 30, 2023.
