WHY YOUR GIFTS MATTER
God shapes each of us for the good of all of us.
Spiritual gifts are not merely personal strengths to identify. They are ways the Holy Spirit equips ordinary believers to serve one another, strengthen the church, and carry out the mission of Christ.
Every member is a minister. Pastors and officers equip the saints for ministry, but the work belongs to the whole body. When one person withholds a gift, the church misses something God intended to provide through that person. When each part serves, the body becomes healthier, more mature, and better able to show Christ’s love.

Every part is necessary
The body of Christ needs different people serving in different ways. No gift is unimportant, and no member is unnecessary.

Gifts are given for others
God gives abilities by grace so we can build up, encourage, teach, lead, care for, and serve the people around us.

Serving advances the mission
The goal is not simply self-discovery. It is finding a place where the way God designed you meets a real need in Christ’s church and world.
