A Peace for You
John 16:7-11, 25-33
In these last few chapters in John, Jesus is giving a final teaching to his disciples before he is arrested. He tells them things, things they need to hear, knowing they won’t understand it. He explains with statements like we find in verse 4,
But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.
What is the key to understanding? It is the “why” behind Jesus’ departure. When you don’t have that missing piece, you lack peace in your life, plain and simple. Your sense of right and wrong is skewed.
Jesus, however, does not intend for his disciples to lack peace. In fact, he came to secure it for them.
