Hope!

Romans 5:1-21

Of the many things that we could bring out of this passage, the one that our world longs to feel is hope. The more you watch or read the news, whether from main stream media or independent journalists, you get the sense that our culture is shifting rapidly and the freedoms we once enjoyed may soon unravel. That’s disheartening. Hope for a peaceful future seems bleaker every day. This is how the world sees things. And that sense of bleakness, of desperation, tempts you to put your hope in things, or people, that are less than ideal.

What we need is a real hope, which is what Paul is giving us. We see this put forth in verse 2,

… we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
