Morning Prayer (Psalm 5)
Last week we learned a prayer to say in the evening that helps us make the transition from a day of anxieties to a night of peaceful sleep. Now in the morning, we enter a new day. Which way will we go? Which path will we walk? Whose direction and counsel will we heed? What tasks will we take on? What will we leave off? We are leaving the “passivities of grace” and entering “the activities of obedience.” How do we make that transition?
