VBS

VBS Decorations

We are almost finished with our first bilingual VBS.  What a week it has been!   Amazing!  Such sweet faces!  Such sweet stories of kids enjoying themselves and learning God’s word.

Our original date (June 21) to clean up after VBS has changed.  Cosecha de Vida has decided to keep the VBS decor in the gym for a couple of weeks.  So we’ve decided to keep the decor up in the Ed Bldg as well.  A future date of clean up will be announced.  Thank you!

Can You Help Feed the Hungry VBS Volunteers?

If you can help keep our VBS volunteers hydrated and fed next week, please click here and scroll down to “VBS 2019 Snacks for Volunteers” then select what you think you can provide.  Items can be brought to the church gym at 9:00 a.m. in Classroom 3.  PLEASE NOTE:  We may not need all of the listed items every day. I suggest calling Carol Kutzer or Susie Kolesar the afternoon prior to see how our inventory is doing. Thank you in advance!

Final Preparations for VBS

VBS is almost here!  Please continue praying for everyone involved.  Pray for new relationships to be made and hearts to be changed.  If you can help this week, this is how you can pitch in:

  • Decorating the Ed Bldg – Thursday, June 13 at 10:00am
  • Decorating the Gym – Sunday, June 16 at 5:00pm

Life is wild, but God is good!

VBS Work Day May 29

If you are able, please come help out with VBS decorations and other preparations on Wednesday, May 29 from 10:00 – 12:30 or 12:30 – 3:00.  Childcare will be provided.  Lunch will be provided for anyone working both shifts.  Please contact Carol if you plan to attend and will need childcare.

VBS Supplies Needed NOW

We have had a few responses for our need for volunteers.  Our greatest need now is for supplies.  You can sign up to provide them on the same Volunteer Sign-up.  Use this link:  https://signup.com/go/GCzZqnE ; scroll down to VBS 2019 Volunteers; then click on June 16.  There you will find a long list of supplies needed prior to VBS.  Some items are needed NOW, and others not until the Sunday before VBS begins.

While there, sign up to help us on Wednesday, May 29 – the next VBS Work Day.  Childcare will be provided and you may sign up for either the morning or afternoon shifts – or both!  Lunch will be provided for those working both shifts.

VBS Art Day May 18

Join us this Saturday, May 18 at 10:00 a.m. as we work on decorations for VBS.  We need help cutting, gluing, painting and laminating.  We will be using scissors, utility knives (bring your own) and paper cutters. Lots to do!

VBS Update Apr 30

We made lots of progress at last night’s meeting and several volunteer positions have been added to the roster.  Most notably is the addition of Teen VBS Performers.  These teens will perform on stage each morning doing the motions for the VBS songs.  If you think your teen would be a high-energy performer, sign them up.  Remember, there are lots of other position for teens that are not on stage.

We have also added two VBS Work Days to the schedule.  You can sign up for them as well.  They are:

  • Saturday, May 18 at 10:00AM  – VBS Art Day
  • Wednesday, May 29 at 10:00AM or 12:30PM (or both) VBS Work Day

Click here to sign up or learn more.

Next VBS Meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 13 at 7:30PM.
